MUSE x ‘Modest Influencers’
Traditionally, fashion runways showcase looks consisting of plunging necklines, open backs and thigh high slits or even barely there bikinis. However, more recently modest style influencers have been using their platform to amplify the voice of those who prefer a more covered ensemble. With modest fashion quickly becoming a buzzword in the industry, it’s refreshing to see that the mainstream is taking notice.
This year we have seen ASOS beginning to sell hijabs from their virtual shelves, whilst Uniqlo even launched a collaboration with British designer, Hana Tajima, to produce a line of modest clothing that also features hijabs and headscarves.
Modest fashion is becoming a more inclusive way of dressing for many people, regardless of religious and cultural background.
