Burberry on Jeju Island
Burberry’s first-ever immersive brand experience on Jeju Island in South Korea is part of a series of the brand’s outerwear pop-ups around the globe. The mirrored structure was built to reflect the sky above and to replicate the topography of the surrounding mountains, presenting the connection between nature and architecture.
As well as displaying Burberry’s new outdoors collection, there is also an immersive art installation. One of which tracks the audience’s movements and uses their behaviour to inform the computer-generated landscapes projected onto the screen.
In a separate building, Thomas’s Cafe makes its first appearance in Korea. Named after the founder of the brand, Thomas Burberry, the cafe’s design is of a light beige colour scheme and maintains Burberry animal kingdom motifs throughout.
